Hali Schwartz
Hali Shwartz has been immersed in the world of yoga since childhood, beginning her studies at the age of nine with her first teacher, her mother. What started as a family practice soon unfolded into a lifelong journey. In 1987, at nineteen, Hali followed her mother to the northwestern Himalayas where she had been living and studying for more than a decade. There, at the International Meditation Institute, Hali entered into what has become nearly four decades of rigorous study in yoga philosophy, classical scriptures, Sanskrit, chanting, meditation, and the lineages of Hatha and Kriyā Yoga.
In 1999, Hali committed fully to sharing the depth of the yoga tradition and has since become a respected educator, international retreat leader, and trainer of yoga teachers around the world. She is the author of One Without a Second: The Seeds of Yoga Philosophy from Root to Sprout and Yog and I: Living Philosophy for Teachers and Seekers.
Based in Toronto, Hali is known for her passion, clarity, and devotion to transmitting the philosophical heart of yoga. She brings both scholarship and lived experience to her teaching, offering students and teachers an accessible pathway into the rich and multidimensional wisdom of the yogic tradition.
